Our business designing mobile Poultry housing started in 2005; we saw the opportunity to take our Tunnel expertise (steel framed structures, portable and quick to build) into the livestock market. The business developed quickly and has now evolved to offer the following solutions:
A small scale building built to resemble a traditional ark, but providing modern and very welfare friendly accommodation for small laying and table bird flocks.
The house of choice for organic, small scale production or specialist producers. Typically, the Halo Mini Ranger will house up to 1000 laying birds.
Our most popular building, providing the absolute best welfare accommodation standards, to enable birds to freely express their normal behaviours. Accommodates any flock size between 1000 and 4000 birds. Suitable for egg laying or table birds.
The Maxi-Ranger was introduced in 2008 for producers wanting their birds to access the indoor scratch area through as short a walk as possible. This can be especially important for shy breeds. The 12m Maxi Ranger is uniquely built on only two steel skids to enable the building to be fully mobile. The Maxi Ranger can also be built as a permanent fixed clear span building.
Specialist tunnels for seasonal poultry have been developed from Haygrove’s considerable experience in the manufacture of poly-tunnels for horticulture. The units can be built to any length, but typically depending on the flock size units are built between 25m to 50m long. Each tunnel includes an interconnect gutter that means that each unit stays complete dry. On each, side walls are built using agricultural netting; the side walls can also incorporate roll-up pop holes if required. The units are roofed in a 200µm green on white polythene.
