Angus Davison

Eccentric Chairman

Lying on my back in the middle of the Sahara Desert at 21 I wrote 10 life aims. Across the top was 'Do something remarkable Dammit!' I think it had a swear word in it too. The thought was driven by a yet unexplained fear of mediocrity, then by a sudden realisation that I had been born incredibly lucky compared to so many. I was obligated to max every minute, to share this good fortune, and create more wherever I could. Then came the slower deduction that to do this required doing something remarkable, not leading a normal life... you have to be different, to pursue difference, to go outside convention. I have tried to pass on this approach to maxing life, living once, to Haygrove, and to attract people who have the same desire. I am trying to instil the same in my children (who only listen intermittently).
